​Maitland’s Kayak 
Terms & Conditions Agreement

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions for renting equipment from Maitland’s Kayak:

1. Assumption of Risk
   I understand and accept that paddling and operating water vessels involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, accidents, capsizing, collisions, injury, or death. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the use of the rental equipment.

2. Release of Liability
   Maitland’s Kayak, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not responsible for any injury, accident, loss, damage, or death that may occur while using the rental equipment. I agree to hold harmless and release Maitland’s Kayak from all claims or liabilities arising from the use of their equipment.

3. Equipment Responsibility
   I agree to return all rental equipment in the same condition in which it was provided.

   • If equipment is lost, stolen, or returned with damage that renders it unusable, I agree to pay the full replacement cost.

   • Minor wear and tear is expected and will not result in additional charges.

4. Safety Acknowledgment

   • I agree to wear a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket at all times while on the water.

   • I will follow all safety instructions provided by Maitland’s Kayak staff.

5. Age & Competency

   • Renters must be at least 18 years of age, or have a parent/guardian present to sign on their behalf.

   • I affirm that I am physically capable and competent to operate the rental equipment safely.

6. Binding Agreement
   This agreement is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. By signing, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
